Lake Kahola South Bluff Area

Low-oblique, mid-summer view toward west over central portion of Lake Kahola. Notice steep, wooded bluff to left (south) and relatively flat terrace on opposite side of lake. The lake is deep--20 to 30 feet (6-9 m) here, where the old river channel runs next to the south bluff. This is the best fishing area. Marker buoys are visible in the lake. Photo date 7/97.

This vertical view was taken under mostly sunny conditions. It shows summer cabins, docks, and lake ice along the south shore. Note the long shadows in this winter scene; only the cedar trees have leaves. Photo date 1/97.
